Country House with pool surrounded by oak and chestnut woods set
in a peaceful hillside village.
A totally engaging holiday within a beautiful and untouched
Tuscan valley.
An excellent base from which to explore Tuscany

Il Casuccio
Il Casuccio is a lovely country house set in a small hamlet
located in a peaceful angle of San Mommè, a tiny village in the
cool leafy valley ( 550 mt above the sea level ) of the Ombrone
river ;
it’s a perfect location for those seeking to avoid the hustle
and bustle of town life.
From the house and garden you can enjoy a stunning view of the
valley and the silence of the chestnut woods in which deers and
squirrels live. You can sit in the shade of ancient oak-trees
that surround the spectacular swimming pool reading a good book
and sipping on a glass of Italian Prosecco that will be offered
to you by the owners on your arrival.
In this peaceful and green place you will surely unwind
enjoying the sound of birds’ singing and the pleasant
fragrances of lavender and herbs. This woodland estate covers
an area of approximately 2 hectares blending into the harmonious
scenery of the valley.
The large garden is adjacent to the house and it is well
equipped with sun loungers, tables, chairs , a solar paneled
shower , a barbecue and a practical outdoor kitchen allowing
you to have your “ al fresco meals “, in the privacy afforded
by the surrounding woodlands . You will be also able to taste
the fresh vegetables grown by the owner in his vegetable garden.
The tranquil, unhurried life of the old fashioned village will
bring you back to the past . It is a real paradise for children
who will also have a lot of fun in the village playground.
San Mommè is only 12 km away from Pistoia and is therefore an
excellent base from which to explore the major towns of Tuscany
such as Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Siena, all of which are within
easy reach. The seaside of our Tirrenic coast is just a 1hour
drive!
Furthermore the Pistoiese mountain has nice interesting
villages scattered around which are also worth a visit. |
